MacBook Pro 13. I’ve been chugging along on my trusty G3 iBook for 5 years, and it’s finally been replaced.  Well i say replaced - its getting a clean install and is the general surfing machine for all the family to use now.
The MacBook Pro is quite quite lovely, how I said the same about my G3! but wow - it’s quite the beauty.  I went for the 2.53GHz version - with an unusually generous for apple 4 gig of ram.  I was tempted briefly by the 15 inch model - but its basically the same but a bigger screen/case.  I find the 12 inch iBook a pain to lug about so small is best - and when desk bound it will be on a 20 inch screen. The big buttonless track pad will take some getting used to, as will the shiny - but very, very bright screen.  I’ll believe the 7 hours battery when i see it - but I suspect a 4-5 hours in use to be practical.  I hope this one will be still on the go in 2014.
