Reboot11.
I did my talk at reboot 11 was a bit of a panic - as the previous speaker over ran by almost 30 mins - then we couldn’ t hook up my new mac book pro to the projector (i only had a dvi adapter and it was vga only, and a dvi - vga adapter didn’t work as the apple dongle had some dvi pins blocked out!!! )lessons learnt - plus i wasn’t used to keynote on two screens, so only half my notes were visible - in this situation quite handy!but I over came and did a massively abridged version in 20 mins ( the previous nights run though was hitting 50 - and I had 40 mins.)  so it kinda went tits up - but I just summarised heavily - it may appear online at the reboot site, I’m kinda hoping it doesn’t - though from a learning to present aspect its useful to see what i did wrong.you can see the slides and random notes herehttp://www.slideshare.net/maclondon/living-in-a-money-free-worldnext time I’ll get the story telling aspect and coherent narrative bit right.
The good thing was there was a good vibrant discussion afterwards with 6 of the poeple who had been there - so as a starting point to get people thinking it worked ok.
I think it got a bit lost in fact presenting and avoided opinion and prediction.  I’ve come out of it with several interesting concepts, one being having a fixed money system - so theres only so  much and no more - and its balanced.
The big issue is hoarding and credit. Maybe money should ‘expire’ as theres no real need for people to have millions in the bank - while 1000’s are 1000’s in debt.  It’s broken.
Reboot was pretty awesome - it’s the first conference I’ve been too - other than game camp. And my first proper public speaking.
