Green Index: I like that these timberland shoes have some sort qualification to their green credentials, but sadly its rather meaningless to me. There was no guide in the store as to what it meant, is 6 good? bad? who knows. Also no other products had any ratings. Now timberland are good at this kinda thing so maybe this is the first of this appearing across the range. But at the moment it needs explaining. runs off to check the internet….

Humm, so maybe it had a false start and is kicking in again now? Come on timberland you are doing lots of good CSR shout about it, don’t mumble and whisper.
I found this page from 2007 that qualifies it, oh 6 is pretty bad.
UPDATE: Top marks to Timberland’s CEO Jeff Swartz, who twittered me to say they were working hard to tell the story in the stores.
