Reality Breakfast: First in a series comparing the product shots vs the product. Starting with the all new Mcdonalds Bacon Roll. The real thing matched the photos in terms of size and content. But was anemic as hell - in real life its not just a bad photo. In the product shot the bread has a crisp brown crust, and the bacon is well browned, inducing that mouthwatering desire they want you to have. The actual product felt like the bacon had been microwaved, as it had no colour or visible signs it had been in contact with a hotplate. The bread also was a bit soggy rather than having a crisp crust. Also the fat was limp and unappetising. Falling so far of the mark of a basic bacon butty - go to your local sandwich shop instead.
