Freaky Beautiful: These porcelain bowls by Anja Lubach are a conundrum, on one hand quite beautiful, on the other completely unnerving and disturbed. A combination that both hard to pull off and quite unique. I’d love to know what she thinks about the souls in the bowls, are they in limbo, heaven, hell? The ambiguity is its joy.
UPDATE: having visited her website they are all titled ‘Angel faces’ or ‘Madonna’. so I guess its heaven - but they are still quite unnerving.
