Jim’ll Stitch It: Tonight on BBC 4 is the final program in the series on Savile Row, it’s been an interesting insight into the insular and elite world of bespoke tailoring. The one company that has stood out for me has been Norton & Sons - which has a new ‘young’ owner, Patrick Grant, who has a passion for the business that is infectious. To the point of him going up to Harris to source tweed directly, ok that was probably for the cameras, and very ‘Jamie Oliver’. Sadly I can only look though the window as beyond the price of a button, I expect to be sticking to Pret A Porter for some time, though not forever.
