Lazy Racer: The ‘Speed Racer’ premier was in town yesterday, it looks a fun, fluffy sort of movie, aimed at kids, based on an iconic manga comic. Oddly I expected a flurry of video games to accompany it. Nope just a Wii and DS version ( and a PS2 version to be released with the DVD release). No Xbox, no PS3, which is quite odd as the movie itself looks just like a video game. I guess they have gone for the largest installed base, the younger demographic, and no faith in the title being any good, so why waste money developing it as it will shift units whatever. It’s warners bros first self published game too. Spot the new boys.
