Legotistic license: Star Wars Lego cheats a bit with it’s battle droid models.  They have rotated the hands 90 degrees so they hold the blasters in the same way as other characters.   I only noticed this as my son got annoyed by the battle droids having to hold their guns ‘gangsta stylee’, but they are as he wanted in the game. The battle droid hands are fixed, unlike the normal mini-figs who have rotatable hands.
Though he does likes mix and matching battle droids with castle skeletons.
