N-Gage games start to get good: ‘one’ is a tekken style beat em up. Three round beat em up games wok well on a mobile device, because you can dip in and out, and theres no need for long gameplay. I played it on a classic N95, teh frame rate was mostly smooth - with the occasional pause here and there. But basically its the most impressive 3D graphics i have seen on the n-gage, though boing bounce is pretty good.
I found myself attempting to ‘press’ the words on screen (I’ve been using a 5800 touch based nokia for the last month) and found it rather odd pressing off screen buttons for the menu controls. But the nav pad and media buttons are a bonus for gameplaying. Not perfect but better than using touch alternatives.
